Ranjna Patel, co-founder of the Tāmaki Health GP network, has made an extraordinary contribution to communities across Aotearoa, from improving access to healthcare to strengthening support systems for migrants and families affected by violence. In this interview, she reflects on discovering her voice later in life and on the importance of bringing diverse perspectives into places where key decisions are made. She was also instrumental in establishing Gandhi Nivas, an initiative created through collaboration with ACC, NZ Police, counsellors, and social service agencies to offer early intervention and support for men and families dealing with family harm.
